Local Storage And Backend Storage
Some PurposePass data is stored locally on your device, including settings, selected apps, app preferences, Pass activity, Neurons, Brain Balance, sessions, and local protection history.
Some summarized information may be sent to the PurposePass backend when needed for AI Brainrot Reports, subscription entitlement checks, caching, support, data export, data deletion, diagnostics, security, or service reliability.
AI Brainrot Report Processing
When you use AI Brainrot Reports, summarized PurposePass usage and protection data may be sent to the PurposePass backend. The backend may use an AI provider to generate a report about patterns such as risk windows, top distractions, triggers, positive patterns, and suggested rules.
PurposePass is designed so that unnecessary personal data should not be sent for report generation. AI Brainrot Reports are informational only. They are not medical advice, therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support.
Third-Party Services
PurposePass may use third-party service providers to operate the app, website, subscriptions, backend, database, AI reports, and support. These may include:
- Apple and the App Store for purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, app distribution, and iOS platform functionality.
- RevenueCat for subscription management and entitlement verification.
- An AI provider through the PurposePass backend for AI Brainrot Reports.
- Render for backend hosting.
- Neon for database hosting.
- Vercel or another website hosting provider for hosting the public website.
- Other infrastructure, diagnostics, or support providers as needed to operate, secure, and maintain PurposePass.
Data Sharing
PurposePass does not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate PurposePass, process subscriptions, generate AI Brainrot Reports, host backend services, provide support, comply with law, prevent abuse, protect the service, or complete a business transfer if PurposePass is ever reorganized or acquired.
Tracking And Advertising
PurposePass does not currently track users across other companies’ apps or websites for targeted advertising. PurposePass does not currently use third-party advertising networks in the app.
Data Retention
PurposePass keeps information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain subscriptions, generate and cache reports, support users, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Local data may remain on your device until you delete the app, reset app data, or change settings. Backend records may be retained until deleted under applicable deletion processes, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Exporting And Deleting Data
You may contact support@purposepass.app to request export or deletion of backend data associated with your PurposePass account where applicable. We may need enough information to verify and locate your records, such as the email or identifier associated with your App Store purchase or support request.
Deleting backend data does not cancel an App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through Apple account settings.
Children And Minors
PurposePass is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to PurposePass, contact us so we can review and delete it where required. Minors should use PurposePass only with permission from a parent or guardian where required by law.
Security
PurposePass uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No app, website, or networked service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. We work to avoid logging secrets and to limit access to operational data.
International Processing
PurposePass and its service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, and other locations where providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as PurposePass changes. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
